How PropelHER Started (And Why I Built It the Way I Did)

Spoiler: this business didn’t start with a grand plan.
It started with a newborn on my chest, a pandemic outside my door, and a deep craving for a better way to work.

For over a decade, I’d been hustling—building businesses, freelancing, managing creative projects, and saying yes to everything. I loved the work, but once I had my first baby during COVID, everything shifted. I realized I didn’t want to keep trading all my time for money. I wanted to build something that gave me back my days and still made good money.

That’s when I discovered the power of digital products. I opened a little Etsy shop, uploaded a few downloads, and—bam—people started buying them in their sleep. Then I tried Amazon. Same thing. It wasn’t just the sales that clicked—it was the systems. For the first time, I saw how scalable, flexible, and freeing business could be. I knew I had to explore this more… and that I could help others do the same.

The Messy Beginning

PropelHER didn’t launch with a brand shoot or a detailed business plan. It started in a shared Google Doc and a few brave clients who trusted me with their ideas.

At the time, I was doing a bit of everything—design, marketing, launching, content planning, copywriting, even some admin work. I didn’t have a niche. I didn’t have a “framework.” I had experience, instincts, and a real drive to help people bring their big ideas to life.

And it turned out—that was enough to get started.

The Pivot: From Hustle to Scalable Strategy

As time went on, I noticed something: my clients didn’t just need help with marketing. They needed a partner to walk with them through the entire journey—from the first brainstorm to the final launch email.

They had books, courses, memberships, and events they wanted to create… but they were overwhelmed by all the moving parts. They weren’t sure where to start, what tools to use, or how to organize it all.

That’s where I found my sweet spot.

I started not just helping others launch—but launching things of my own, too. I created online courses, downloadable guides, and simple-but-powerful workbooks. I built email funnels and automation systems so they could sell while I was sleeping, playing with my kids, or actually taking a weekend off. And the best part? I could still help people—without being constantly “on.”

That’s when PropelHER started to really take shape—not just as a service list, but as a creative studio that could help others do exactly the same: build businesses that work for them, not drain them.

What We Do Now (and Why It Works)

Today, PropelHER is a creative marketing and strategy studio built for entrepreneurs, authors, educators, and impact-driven brands who are ready to bring their ideas to life—and want the systems, support, and structure to do it with clarity and calm.

We specialize in:

Brand strategy & identity design
Offer development & digital product creation
Launch strategy, marketing funnels & automation
Joyful project management (yes, it’s possible)
Book launches & content planning
And helping clients diversify income through scalable, non-traditional offers

We’re not a “one-size-fits-all” agency. We customize every project. We build systems that scale. And we genuinely care about the why behind what you’re creating.

What I’d Tell Past Me (and Maybe You, Too)

If I could go back and talk to that version of me—the one building landing pages between naps and wondering if anyone would take her seriously—I’d tell her this:

You don’t need everything figured out.
You don’t need a viral post or a perfect logo.
You just need one idea, the guts to start, and a plan that fits your life.

That’s why I built PropelHER the way I did: flexible, intentional, and built to support real humans with real lives.

So if you’re sitting on something—a course, a product, a new brand, or just a gut feeling—you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Let’s build it. Launch it. And make it sustainable.

Hey, I’m Gaby
